On December 12, 2025, within the premises of Chongqing Yuma Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd. in Dashipan Village, Xiemǎ Town, Beibei District, Chongqing, the roar of machinery intertwined with the hum of sorting equipment, creating a bustling symphony of activity. As a company that has been deeply rooted in the general machinery sector for eight years, Yuma Mechanical & Electrical is embracing the “Double Twelve” shopping festival—a nationwide consumer frenzy—with a coordinated, end-to-end approach spanning production, sales, and logistics, thus ushering in the final sales peak of the year. This race against time not only tests the company’s production resilience but also reflects the wisdom of China’s manufacturing industry as it undergoes transformation amid the tide of consumption upgrading.

At 6 a.m., the assembly workshop of Yuma Mechanical & Electrical was already brightly lit. Thirty-two workers, each wearing anti-static wristbands, were skillfully operating on the modular-design gasoline generator production line. This production line, which received a utility model patent in February 2025, uses standardized components and an intelligent assembly system to reduce the assembly time per generator from 45 minutes to 28 minutes. “Today, we need to complete an order for 800 units, 300 of which are low-temperature start-up models customized for customers in Northeast China,” said Zhang Wei, the workshop director, pointing to the finished-product area at the end of the production line.

On the other side of the warehouse, in the newly expanded 2,000-square-meter smart warehousing center, packaged diesel water pumps are being transported to the loading area. These devices will be shipped to the Russian market via China-Europe freight trains—thanks to the EU CE certification obtained in 2024, Yuma Mechanical & Electrical’s export orders have increased by 65% year-on-year. Li Ming, the company’s technical director, revealed: “We adopt an ‘order-driven production’ model and use our ERP system to connect in real time with e-commerce platform data, ensuring that our inventory turnover rate remains at an industry-leading 12 times per year.”

As night falls, the Yuma Mechanical & Electrical Logistics Center enters its busiest hour. Thirty box trucks loaded with goods roll out one after another. These vehicles will travel via the "Yuxinou" international rail-sea intermodal transport corridor and reach European customers within 72 hours.

The newly developed "IoT Generator" launched in 2025, equipped with a built-in 5G module for remote monitoring, received bulk orders from customers in Inner Mongolia's pastoral areas during the Double 12 shopping festival.

The talent strategy has also played an indispensable role. Of the 13 general workers recruited in 2024, eight came from “order-based classes” at vocational schools in Beibei District. All three mechanical engineers brought in in 2025 hold German dual-system vocational qualification certificates. “Our joint laboratory, co-established with Chongqing University, will soon be officially launched, and we plan to invest 5 million yuan over the next three years in R&D of new-energy power-generation equipment,” announced General Manager Ge Jinli during the morning meeting, outlining a clear path for the company’s transformation and upgrading.
